The Quarterly of Applied Mathematics contains original papers in applied mathematics which have a close connection with applications. An author index appears in the last issue of each volume.This journal, published quarterly by Brown University with articles posted individually before appearing in an issue, is distributed by the American Mathematical Society (AMS). RAIRO-Operations Research is an international journal devoted to high-level pure and applied research on all aspects of operations research. All papers published in RAIRO-Operations Research are critically refereed according to international standards. Any paper will either be accepted (possibly with minor revisions) either submitted to another evaluation (after a major revision) or rejected. Every effort will be made by the Editorial Board to ensure a quick turnaround to all papers submitted to the journal. Articles may be written in English or in French.

The journal publishes original research papers of high scientific level in the area of theoretical computer science and its applications. Theoretical computer science is understood in its broadest sense and comprises in particular the following areas: automata and formal languages, game theory, rewriting systems, design and analysis of algorithms, complexity theory, quantum computation, concurrent, distributed, parallel computations, verification of programs, “logic” and compilers, computational geometry and graphics on computers, cryptography, combinatorics on words.This list is not supposed to be exhaustive and the editorial board will promote new fields of research that will be worked out in the future.

The aim of REVSTAT is to publish articles of high scientific content, developing innovative statistical scientific methods and introducing original research, grounded in substantive problems.

The remarkable discoveries made by Srinivasa Ramanujan have made a great impact on several branches of mathematics, revealing deep and fundamental connections. This journal publishes papers of the highest quality in all areas of mathematics influenced by Ramanujan, including: Hyper-geometric and basic hyper-geometric series (q-series) * Partitions, compositions and combinatory analysis * Circle method and asymptotic formulae * Mock theta functions * Elliptic and theta functions * Modular forms and automorphic functions * Special functions and definite integrals * Continued fractions * Diophantine analysis including irrationality and transcendence * Number theory * Fourier analysis with applications to number theory * Connections between Lie algebras and q-series.

It is the aim of this journal to meet two main objectives: to cover the latest research on discrete random structures, and to present applications of such research to problems in combinatorics and computer science. The goal is to provide a natural home for a significant body of current research, and a useful forum for ideas on future studies in randomness. Results concerning random graphs, hypergraphs, matroids, trees, mappings, permutations, matrices, sets and orders, as well as stochastic graph processes and networks are presented with particular emphasis on the use of probabilistic methods in combinatorics as developed by Paul Erdos. The journal focuses on probabilistic algorithms, average case analysis of deterministic algorithms, and applications of probabilistic methods to cryptography, data structures, searching and sorting. The journal also devotes space to such areas of probability theory as percolation, random walks and combinatorial aspects of probability. The journal Real-Time Systems publishes papers, short papers and correspondence articles that concentrate on real-time computing principles and applications. Regular and Chaotic Dynamics (RCD) is an international journal publishing original research papers in dynamical systems theory and its applications. Rooted in the Moscow school of mathematics and mechanics, the journal successfully combines classical problems, modern mathematical techniques and breakthroughs in the field. Regular and Chaotic Dynamics welcomes papers that establish original results, characterized by rigorous mathematical settings and proofs, and that also address practical problems. In addition to research papers, the journal publishes review articles, historical and polemical essays, and translations of works by influential scientists of past centuries, previously unavailable in English. Along with regular issues, RCD also publishes special issues devoted to particular topics and events in the world of dynamical systems.

Reliability Engineering and System Safety is an international journal devoted to the development and application of methods for the enhancement of the safety and reliability of complex technological systems, like nuclear power plants, chemical plants, hazardous waste facilities, space systems, offshore and maritime systems, transportation systems, constructed infrastructure and manufacturing plants. The journal normally publishes only articles that involve the analysis of substantive problems related to the reliability of complex systems or present techniques and/or theoretical results that have a discernable relationship to the solution of such problems. An important aim is to achieve a balance between academic material and practical applications.The following topics are within the scope of the journal: methods for reliability and probabilistic safety assessment; model and parameter uncertainties; aleatory and epistemic uncertainties, sensitivity analysis, data collection and analysis; engineering judgement and expert opinions; human reliability; test and maintenance policies; models for ageing and life extension; systems analysis of the impact of earthquakes, fires, tornadoes, winds, floods, etc.; codes, standards and safety criteria; operator decision support systems; software reliability; methods and applications of automatic fault detection and diagnosis; dynamic reliability; design and evaluation of man machine systems and human interfaces; design innovation for safety and reliability; safety culture; accident investigation and management. Reliable Computing is devoted to various aspects of interval mathematics and reliable numerical computations giving guaranteed properties of computed results. Managed by an international editorial board from Belgium Bulgaria Canada France Germany Japan Russia and the United States it includes various items in the fields of theoretical research computer tools applications interdisciplinary research and other relevant areas. The Accademia dei Lincei (Lynx), founded in 1603, is the oldest academy dedicated to the study of humanities as well as physics, mathematics and the natural sciences in the world. Through the centuries, some of the most important scientists of their time have been among their members, including Galileo Galilei, Enrico Fermi and Vito Volterra.After its merger with the Accademia Pontificia dei Nuovi Lincei, the academy began publishing in 1847 with the Atti dell'Accademia Pontificia dei Nuovi Lincei. In 1870 this society was divided into two separate academies, one of which published its transactions as Atti della Reale Accademia dei Lincei and under the name Atti della Reale Accademia dei Lincei, Transunti as of 1876. Continued in 1884 as Atti della Reale Accademia dei Lincei, Rendiconti and under the present name in 1990, the Rendiconti Lincei have been one of the best Italian journals ever since. The Rendiconti del Circolo Matematico di Palermo is an International journal publishing original research papers on pure and applied mathematics, focusing in particular on: Algebra, Algebraic Geometry, Arithmetic Geometry and Number Theory, the Calculus of Variations, Partial Differential Equations, Ordinary Differential Equations, Functional Analysis, Complex Analysis.Submissions, since foundation of the journal, are refereed by an international editorial board of Mathematicians.The 'Rendiconti del Circolo Matematico di Palermo' is the Journal of the ' Circolo Matematico di Palermo', a non profit organization, founded by Gian Battista Guccia in 1884. The publication of this journal is in two series: The first series, published between 1885 and 1941, consists of 63 volumes, and almost all of them are still available. The second series began in 1952 and, starting with volume 57 (2008), is published in cooperation with Springer-Verlag.
